Quick Apply Full-time 7 hours ago Full Job Description SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES It is the responsibility of the Business Banking Relationship Manager to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, originating loans and cross-selling bank products to small business customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develops new business by way of an organized prospecting strategy.
Conducts business development activities, contacting prospects and current customers, to seek small business loan opportunities or cross-sell bank services.
Focuses primarily on those customers and prospects who fit Business Lending Express Group (BLE) eligibility with total annual revenues less than $10 million.
Interviews prospective applicants, collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request.
Collects and performs preliminary credit analysis on current customers.
May obtain information through direct inspections of the applicant's business and/or collateral, review of interim financial reports, personal interview, and/or other means.
Establishes and negotiates terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.
Presents small business loan requests to the BLE for approval.
Act as a liaison between the BLE underwriting team and the client, efficiently gathering the answers to underwriting questions and collecting any additional documentation required.
Alternatively, presents loan requests to the appropriate hierarchy of lending authorities when the proposed loan dollar volume exceeds the BLE's lending authority or when the loan type requires submission through the regular commercial loan system, Credit Quest/nCino.
Authorizes or rejects overdrafts in depository account within established authorities.
Develop strong professional relationships with other line of business partners to maintain a strong understanding of all products and services available to our customers.
Serves as a contact officer for non-borrowing accounts and loan customers for matters relating to other bank services.
Advises customers, where possible, concerning business management and financial matters.
Prepares various lending activity and pipeline reports for management.
Keeps abreast of local and national economic, financial, political, and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on corporate and commercial lending activities.
Maintains professional and community relations to increase the bank's visibility and new business opportunities and to further personal development.
Maintains loan portfolio of clients.
Manages all reaffirmations and loan renewals within the portfolio that are BLE eligible.
Ensures that the Bank's policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with.
Provides assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions.
Continuously updates skills by participating in professional training.
Seeks opportunities to improve skills through training offered by the Bank.
Performs other specifically assigned duties as directed by management.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business or finance is recommended, or equivalent work experience in related field.
Experience:
3-5 years preferred of lending experience Certifications/Specific Knowledge:
Requires strong knowledge of personal computer, Microsoft Office and other software used in department.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer.
This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is in a private office.
The position is located inside a cooled and heated facility with ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks.
TRAVEL Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
