Summary:
The Communications Director leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective communication channels that align with the Vision and Values of Transformation Church.
This includes overseeing the Communications Team and ensuring that consistent and impactful communication is delivered to engage and inform both the church community and the broader audience.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
As a TC team member, responsible for personal spiritual formation, growing as an Upward, Inward, Outward disciple of Jesus Christ.
This will be expressed through the Five Characteristics of a Transformer (worship, connect, serve, give, invite).
Responsible for protecting the Culture of TC and for living out the Five C's-Character, Competency, Catalytic, Collaboration, and Chemistry.
Leadership:
Lead the Communication Team's staff and servant leaders in areas such as photography, graphic design, content creation and editing, storytelling, and video production.
Strategic Communication Plan:
Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic and relevant communications plan for TC including consistent and effective branding through the Transformation Church website, DerwinLGray.
com website, social media, the TC app, print mediums, in-service announcements, and all visual arts aspects.
Staff and Servant Leader Development:
Lead, develop, and direct the Communications Team, fostering their spiritual, personal, and professional growth to ensure excellence and consistency in all TC-related communication.
Servant Leader Oversight:
Establish pathways for Communications servant leaders' onboarding and involvement.
Collaborate with the Communication Team to oversee, equip, and shepherd servant leaders for all communications related teams.
Relational Shepherding:
Cultivate personal relationships with staff and servant leaders through various interactions and groups to build community, collaboration, and connectivity.
Evaluation and Growth:
Regularly evaluate the existing Communication Team's activities and initiatives and seek opportunities for improvement and development.
Collaboration and Initiative:
Collaborate with relevant personnel to identify and support new initiatives and Ministry events requiring communication and creative arts support.
Procedures and Budget:
Ensure communications-related activities, events, and purchasing adhere to established procedures and budget.
Additional Requirements:
Availability for evening and weekend work when necessary.
Other Duties:
Willingness to perform additional assigned duties.

Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Master's degree in a communications related field with five years of experience in a church context preferred.
Experience in a congregation with a regular attendance of 1500
and preferably in a multisite church situation.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and relevant correspondence.
Clear and concise writing skills.
Effective presentation skills for various audiences and contexts.
Math Ability:
Proficiency in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Ability to work with whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow detailed instructions, both written and oral.
Problem-solving skills to handle standardized situations involving a few concrete variables.
Certificates and Licenses:
CPR/AED Certification required (provided by Transformation Church).
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Supervises five staff members and oversees 20
servant leaders.
