Veterinary Medical Center of Fort Mill has an opening for a full time or part time experienced vet assistant to join our team.
We are a busy, state of the art animal hospital.
VMC has been providing care to the South Charlotte / Tega Cay area for over 11 years! We have 6 doctors that deliver high quality medical care to our patients, ranging from advanced orthopedic surgical/dental procedures to internal medicine work ups.
The hospital is fully equipped (digital xray, digital dental xray, Idexx laboratory in house equipment, paperless records, ultrasound, and full soft tissue/orthopedic surgical suite).
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience is required Able to safely restrain small animals Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted Ability to grow and learn
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe space for healing and Fear Free aligned nursing care Properly triage incoming appointments and emergencies Utilize Cornerstone computer software for all patient charts Safely obtain digital radiographs Obtain sterile blood and urine samples Operate in-house lab equipment Assist the veterinarians with patient care Have the ability to work collectively as a team Client communication and education Learn more about our practice:
