About the Job i9 Sports is expanding its youth sports programs in the greater Southwest Charlotte area (territory 435) and is looking for a responsible, well-organized individual to assist with the management of day-to-day operations for the local i9 Sports programming.
This role will support ongoing marketing activities, game day operations, and ensuring the highest of brand standards in all areas of involvement.
The successful candidate must be high-energy, well organized, and possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with kids and a desire to learn sports management.
We are a customer service-oriented company so those who have had experience Wowing customers have a leg up on the competition.
They must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Primary
Responsibilities:
? Build strong relationships within the community through grassroots marketing tactics including front-facing marketing and customer communication, live in-person events, road sign placement, and flyer distribution.
? Oversee weekend operations of youth sports leagues, camps and clinics.
? May be required to jump onto athletic field to instruct or officiate (as needed) ? Actively identify and manage relationships with approved venues ? Actively manage youth sports documentation (practice plans, rules, etc.
) ? Answer customer questions and proactively interact with the parents on gameday ? Opening Day prep work (equipment and inventory counts), player's jersey organization ? Work with Site Managers to build rosters and create site schedules ? Assist w/recruiting, training, directing volunteer coaches to ensure the i9 Sports experience is delivered the players and parents (including Coaches meeting) ? Serve as the i9 Sports staff (officials, Referees) liaison and trainer ? Mentor/ Supervise/ Train all Site Managers ? Ensure the integrity of the i9 Sports Experience and brand ? Assist with staff evaluations and development plans ? Perform other duties and special projects as required Required skills:
? Ability to work a varied schedule.
Must be available on Saturdays (and some weekdays/evenings) during season.
? Bachelor's Degree (Sports Management or related field preferred) or equivalent (3
years) previous work experience with youth sport organizations (i9 Sports preferred) ? Demonstrated ability to instruct and officiate youth sports(ages 3-14) including soccer, t-ball, flag football, basketball ? Highly motivated, high-energy, self-starter who can work independently ? Excellent communication skills (face-to-face, written, and verbal) ? Ability to analyze and efficiently/effectively solve problems ? Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task ? Must possess a valid driver's license ? Superior customer service skills ? Strong organization and presentation skills ? Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional business relationships ? Proficiency in MS Office programs and comfort in learning and using new technology ? Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) ? Ability to work from home Compensation Range Associate Program Director compensation range from $20 to $25 per hour depending on demonstrated level of experience.
Additional performance-based, bonus income may be available based on experience.
Depending on individual performance and availability, this position can evolve into a 30-40 hour full-time position that requires weekend and weekday evening work.
All applicants are subject to a National Criminal Background check and will be required to become first aid certified.
