Our client is looking to fill the role of Product Design DirectorIn this role, youll manage a small team of researchers, content designers, and product designers that work across a media group to create compelling user-centered, digital experiences that deliver on the brand promise to help all people live wellThe right candidate for this role will be an organized, collaborative, and seasoned manager with a wealth of experience as a Product DesignerYou will be expected to lead your team by example, supporting their career growth, and leaning in to be hands-on when neededYou wont go at it aloneyoull be a part of a broader design leadership team and work in close partnership with your cross-disciplinary peers on the engineering, product management, and business teams.
Salary:
$125k-200k based on experience level
Responsibilities:
Inspire our design team to do the best work of their careernavigating ambiguity, providing inspiration, and directly shaping their careersTirelessly advocate for customer-centricity so that our business, product, and design decisions are rooted in user needsCollaborate closely with product management and engineering to craft strategy, refine processes, and ensure that work across the various product pods is cohesive and impactfulOversee the design systemleading the effort to imbue our practice with greater efficiency and achieve our goal of accessibility compliance across all channels and products.
Provide coaching and feedback to your team via regular 1:
1s, mid year reviews, and annual reviews.
Actively looking for and honing in on the strengths of direct reports, and finding ways to up-skill them.
Regularly digging into motivations and ambitions of the team, and building goals and processes around them.
Actively signals behavior they want to see.
Keeps a cool head around others even in stressful situationsIs involved in the planning and organizing of team activitiesCapable of managing a small team effectivelyFollows through on promises around work, rewards, and time.

Qualifications:

years of experience managing design teams to deliver experiences of varying complexity and scope4
years of hands-on content, UX, or product design experienceExcellent interpersonal and presentation skillsA strong portfolio of case studies that illustrate your individual capability and the outcomes your team's driveExpertise using agile, Design Thinking approaches and virtual collaboration tools such as Miro to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and problem solvingHigh proficiency with design and prototyping software and tools, especially FigmaExperience hiring and developing teams of content, service, UX, or product designersExperience working in technology in Media or Health techIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
