Manage the bid evaluation, preparation and submittal process as directed.
Oversee and provide the day-to-day customer support for the assigned bid accounts.
Develop new school business; identify prospective customers and bid opportunities.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with current and potential accounts through personal visits, food shows, conventions and bid related seminars.
Work with vendors/brokers to attain special pricing and to provide other product information as needed by the bid accounts.
Ensure all pricing for bid accounts is set up and maintained correctly.
Maximize account profitability by ensuring compliance with agreed upon pricing and account receivable terms. Attend weekly margin meetings and identify opportunities for increased profit.
Understand key financial basics, i.e. costs, pricing and budgets and provide sensible financial analysis
Participate in the contract audit process to ensure compliance
Follow up on any accounts receivable issues as needed.
Manage school product portfolio and monitor usage by the requesting account.
Provide insight to Territory Managers working Education segment and Account Managers who are assigned to school accounts
Education/Training: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent preferred

Related Experience/Requirements:
A minimum of three years of sales and distribution experience (foodservice industry) required. Three to five years of management experience required. Demonstrated management skills providing leadership and change management to teams.
Knowledge of K-12 school business, USDA Commodity Program and USDA school lunch guidelines a plus. Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data will be helpful.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong oral and written communications skills; strong organization, attention to detail and time management skills;
computer
skills and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software to include Outlook, Mail, Word, Power Point, as well as effectively use Internet and Intranet software applications. Intermediate level knowledge of Excel is a must. Strong relationship building skills Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
