Change Manager
Our client is looking for a Change Manager and process improvement expert. This candidate needs to have manufacturing experience (chemicals, steel, paper) with plant experience being a huge plus. This candidate must also be comfortable with traveling up to 75% of the time.
Must Haves:
o 5 Years' experience supporting/implementing Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles required in a Manufacturing Environment.
o Proven ability to facilitate groups to change by influencing others and supporting teams of a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds to achieve significant results.
o Executing key Continuous Improvement activities as part of daily management routines, including tasks such as:
Conducting a value stream analyses process
Facilitation of Action Item Plans, RACI Analysis, and time study
Conducting cycle time analyses
Creating and implementing standard work
Teaching/coaching front-line operators and leaders to do all the above
o Must possess strong written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the site level.
o Must be viewed credibly as either an informal leader or a positive influencer of change
o Must be a self-motivated learner
o Must possess a strong work ethic
oAbility to mentor team members and facilitate change from a position of influence
o Ability to energize and motivate teams
Ability to recognize conflict and take appropriate action within scope of the role
o Ability to write reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
o Ability to create standard work documents, operational procedures and visual work aids
o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, supervisors and managers at the site level
Critical Competencies for Success: (Leadership and Technical):
o Understand linkages between divisional strategies and drivers and process improvement programs.
o Ability to execute aggressive yet achievable goals and monitor and drive to results.
o Coaching, mentoring, and training skills.
o Excellent communication skills, including presentation, influence, and active listening skills.
o Analytical thinker and problem solver.
o Provides individual consulting and advisory expertise.
o Travel 50% - 75% (as needed)
Top 3-5 must have skills:
Change Management, continuous improvement, process improvement experience
Manufacturing Experience, plant experience or on floor CI experience a huge plus
Six Sigma principles or Six sigma certification
Degree Requirement: 4 year degree preferred Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
